nominated me to post ten albums in ten days that deeply affected me in the past, and that remain "in rotation." This is an impossible task, but I'm going to try anyway. Day 1: I was eight years old when this album came out and my parents bought it on cassette tape (remember those?). Madonna was hip, fashion-forward and sexy af, so at the time, I was probably crushing about the larger-than-life pop icon more than I was caring about the music. That being said, when I play this album today, the songs still feel catchy and fresh and the energy of the music is infectious. I guess I get to nominate someone every day too, so today I nominate my current boss and friend Chris Greacen. For many reasons—including being a consummate musician and calling Madonna "a national treasure"—I trust his taste in music and I think he's more than up to the challenge.
