I have to agree with the InternetNews article. It would take years for BEA to phase-out Plumtree if indeed that is their plan. For now, this looks more like a partnership.
I really hope BEA doesn’t screw up a good thing. Plumtree has matured so much in the last few years – the products are so flexible and feature-rich… I just wonder when Oracle is going to gobble them up.
Rich: I agree. I don’t think this is going to be a “let’s put a competitor out of business”-type of acquisition, but more of a partnership.
